Real Love: Giving for a Better Life
For the mothers and fathers forced to give their children up for adoption. To give them memories of that which they will lose and forever hold dear to their hearts through photographs.
There are so many mothers and fathers forced to give up their children, their flesh and blood for adoption. I want to help give them lasting memories of their children by photographing their love. Their kisses, hugs, and tender touches.
Being a child that went through the adoption process at the age of 6, I truly and unequivocally feel their pain, suffering, and helplessness of adoption. I have two children who I couldn't imagine having to hand over for adoption. To not see their faces again, or experience their loving arms wrapped tightly around my neck, or their sweet kisses enveloping my face would be the most devastating thing.
My heart truly goes out to those, whose love for their children are soo unconditional that they would give them up, never to see them again, so their children can have a chance at a better life; the exact reason that I, too, was given up for adoption.
I have felt and gone through the emotional roller coaster of the child's side of adoption, and can't even fathom the pain felt deep in the heart and soul of the mothers and fathers.
I want to document their love and connection with their children....their Last kisses....their Last hugs....their Unconditional, Real, True, Deep Down in their Soul Love. If I can help take even a smidgen of that immense pain away, I will happily do so.
My Goal, my Wish, my Dream.

Interesting idea. I think you might find some resistance, though. Good luck. Voted for you. Feel free to return the favor and vote for my project on Zimbabwe.
What an interesting story. It might be really difficult to tell but I wish you luck. Voted. Let me know what you think of my idea too.
Great Idea! You've got my vote-return the favor?
I come from a family with a lot of adoption. I also did extensive documentary work at a Mexican orphanage. Very important story to tell! Got my vote. If you like mine, perhaps you can return the vote?
This goal of mine is not meant to be a story, a documentary, or meant to exploit these people....I just want to give them something, from me to them, that holds memories of a piece they will/have lost. To show them I care, I feel, I understand.
willbaxter > Resistance? Of course. This is not an easy thing, but for the parent involved, I believe this will be a gift and hope they will accept it...even welcome it. Even a glimmer of them feeling @ peace will I then truly feel my goal has been reached.
gbolsover > Absolutely it would be "difficult to tell", but my main interest is to capture these most precious moments for the parent, and the parent only...not for my portfolio.
