Ghosts of Earth
I call this project "Ghosts of Earth" because it will document places that will never be the same again due to either natural or man-induced changes. Shortly, these places will be "ghosts" and the photos will be all we have.
We read about erosion in China, dying coral reefs, disappearing lakes, retreating coastlines, disappearing wetlands, and other natural changes. I would like to photograph those locations where the change is irreversible and destined to be gone or drastically changed within the next five to ten year period.

Seems obvious, but I don't see anyone else with this idea. I could see pictures of glaciers before their face falls off. Or a bat that is poised to become extinct.

Yes! This is the one I like. You could even photograph trees or forest stands that are being cut or will burn.

Good ideas like yours that are not in the Top 100 are nearly impossible to find. This is unfair as many great ideas are hidden. Those of us in the “Sub-100” should work together to promote the best projects of the Sub-100 so that they can be in the Top 100 and be seen. Please vote for best Sub-100s!
