30 Bananas a Day Raw Retreat!
My dream is to firstly assist in starting a rawfood retreat in Australia where people come to learn about the raw lifestyle & living more consciously followed with a vision of donation-based rawfood retreats all over the world.
Hey everyone I have a dream....
I have been planning a (if dreams permit)donation-based retreat centre for a while now, just been looking for a location & after talking to my friend Clint it potentially can be on my fhis organic tropical fruit farm in North Qld as the fruit is going off there and the climate is great. Ofcourse whether it is dontation-based or not will be up to my friend who owns the farm! But that is my dream...
For accomodation there is a big shed but personally i'd prefer a more 'natural' experience & im thinking temp accom for people in the form of tents, also when the retreat centre isn't open the tents can be taken down. Also looking at building a composting toilet and ofcourse outdoor tropical shower!
My goals would be to have the retreat open for 3months of the year (when the fruit is best ofcourse!).
I have found about 7 teachers so far interested in volunteering their time and joining the team, they are all well versed, natural hygiene advocates. Im thinking on a rotating teacher roster, maybe a couple of weeks stay for each teacher or more ofcourse if they want.
Classes could include....
- Permaculture and sustainability, treading the lightest foot possible.
- Consciousness & self-awareness
- Rawfood nutrition, hydration etc
- Fitness sweat session & theory
- Yoga & meditation
- laughter/fun class
In a society where money seems to take priority & most people are drowning or treading water - (mortgages, car repayments, credit debt etc etc).... I would really love to have a place people could come, relax, learn truthful living and not worry about money and eat off the land....
Vipassana (the 10day silent donation based retreat) has been very successful and subsequently spread a lot of good throughout the globe.
The property is only 1hr from the international airport so I would expect guests from all over the world.
Thoughts and ideas highly valued and appreciated.....

Sometimes the deatils matter. Did anyone bother reading the rules for the competition before entering it? 'Open only to residents of the 50 United States and Washington, DC' that rules out non-residents of the United States, add it's a photography competition, doesn't look like a winner!
