The Traveling Poet Project
The Traveling Poet Project is an international tour documenting how poetry, music, and art can bridge our cultural gaps and create a deeper level of understanding and communication. To remind us that we are all one race: Humanity.
We are shooting video, but also have numerous photographers that will be with us. We would like to create a photo montage of the arts around the world. From New Orleans jazz players to drummers in Africa. From artists in Europe to poets in New York. We will promote unity through this montage of traveling artists from around the world.
The Traveling Poet is a concept that was created when a man with a love for poetry decided to let go of everything he ever knew. Convinced that words can change the world, he will grab a camera and hit the road to shoot a documentary that has never been done before. The Traveling Poet will go to schools, shelters, hospitals, and poetry venues around the country to spread an inspirational message of healing and inner peace. We will implement poetry programs & promote education and multicultural understanding around the world.
There will be numerous vans full of singers, musicians, poets, artists, and filmmakers; All driving around the country to revive the arts back into America's veins. The public will be able to track each route on the internet and subscribe to our weekly blogs and video updates.
We would deeply appreciate if you would allow us to capture the art of humanity and the love we all share for expression.
