My dream Photo Assignment will be to document how Native Americans across the entire United States and Canada on and off reservations hold on to their culture, beliefs, and identity in the 21st century.
My dream Photo Assignment will be to document how Native Americans across the entire United States and Canada on and off reservations hold on to their culture, beliefs, and identity in the 21st century. Also to show the world how racial stereo typing and narrow mindedness by mainstream America has played a major role in the negative labeling of a proud race of people. I also will document what is being done to promote Native Americans in a positive light. I will work only with Native American Tribal Councils and Resources that are run by Native Americans for the benefit of the people. I not only want to capture all of the colorful festivals and ceremonies, but I will also capture everyday life of the average family. I hope that through my work I can show that Native Americans across the country are anything but stereotypical.

I think this is fantastic. My mother got me interested in Native culture when I was in high school. I've attended many a pow wow and love many aspects of the rich cultural history. I can't wait to introduce my son (and husband) to it as he gets older.
