Father John, I think what you are doing is unfair to the other contestants in this competition. What you have is many, many people not voting for your idea, but "paying you back" for a vote. That, in my opinion, violates the spirit of the contest.

Having looked through the ideas you voted for, the vast majority are ideas with far less votes than you have. I think what you are doing is actually a little predatory. To "vote swap" with someone who has very few votes does not benefit them, but benefits you greatly.

Voting for someone who is ahead of you in the voting sets you back. Getting a vote from someone far behind you is an obvious boost.

Your stock quote is "let's see where this goes". You know where this goes - a rich harvest of "payback" votes for you and the ideas you voted for left in the dust.

Apologies for the multiple comments, but the 300 character limit wouldn't let me say what I thought needed to be said.

I don't have ideas in this contest, but I am firmly behind someone who does. And I'm not attacking you, I'm criticizing you.

Your idea is not some sort of zero-sum game. Clearly, it has benefited you greatly. I hope people realize that it is unfair.

Last comment. Some people have very wide circles of internet contact. Some have texting abilities and companies behind them. I have none of these. I am retired, don't know how to text, and cannot gather votes the same ways as others. Your anonymous sniping is less fair than my approach.

Yes, David! I have been in touch with UNICEF, Save the Children, and others. I am already planning "in case." My strategy was based on being old & retired with a very small circle of internet connections. The solution came to me in prayer (whether anyone believes that or not). Thanks for asking!

This is a great idea. I take pictures of kids at church and they are always happy to get the prints of themselves. I some times put them in with cartoon characters and they love it. I believe you hit on the nerve center of the world. Good luckQ

In China, for example, there is huge hope for the future as their economy charges ahead, but pollution is bad and human rights poor. I want to show those contrasts in the faces of children. Same in India. Same even in the US. And places like Iceland are and the Yukon are changing forever.

These are the things I want to reflect in the faces of the children - not just "cute kids" (although there will be plenty of them, too). I did a lousy job of spelling this out and then couldn't edit it. Whoever wins this, I will be very happy for them - there are some awesome dreams!

I am impressed with the dilgience you go through every day to put comments on every idea ot get votes,and others do it too.I dont think there is any need for anyone being negative about it, those same people who are negative are proably trolling votes through their netwrok on twitter and facebook

which is what the competion asks people to do.On balance you've put time and effort into getting your idea to the top,within your means.I dont use networking sites either and wish i had the time to go through ideas i like each day.i dont,but my 2 ideas are of no less import.

I like how you stumbled on my idea right after I asked you to stop doing. Supporting others is great. I wish you were doing it under a different ID instead of one connected to your idea.

maybe if you picked a name other than father john, and had a project other than dressing up like a clown to photograph children, people wouldn't respond so negative to you. both those things have very negative connotations in this day and age.
