Love in the Time of Internet
A man, his computer, his true love: a stranger thousands of miles away. Come with me on an odyssey of romance as I chronicle how love develops between people on the internet and see what happens when they give it a spin in real life.
Ah, the sound of my computer booting up, a soothing mating call. I can’t wait to meet my lover on the internet! But wait, even though I adore the ways he expresses himself through poetic blogging, fantastic webcam cinematography and brilliant gaming strategies, raising kids together may prove difficult, especially because we’ve never met face-to-face. Oh, and he lives 5,000 miles away.
Ok, that didn’t actually happen to me, but a surge of long-distance love affairs between people who haven’t met in real life is testimony that it could happen to anyone who uses the computer to communicate. People really fall in love online. It’s a melding of the minds, an ethereal communion of the spirit, pure communication- but hey! What happens when online lovers meet? What if they dislike each other without the monitor blockade and handy editing tools conveniently provided by the Technoverse? (It’s kind of hard to post-process a zit in real time.)What if they really do live 5,000 miles away? Then what?
I’ll follow couples’ various stages of long-distance internet romance, including first-time sightings, and bring the love full circle: back to the internet!

I would have never thought to photograph such meetings but these first time meetings are planned, unlike most relationships, so it's possible to take images. Whether they stay good friends, or enemies, or fall in love, it's nice to have a photograph. I love this idea!
I really like your idea! Good luck! If you get a chance, visit my idea and pic it if you like it :) http://www.nameyourdreamassignment.com/the-ideas/srebeccan/children-of-redemption/

Very cool. Please, check me out too when you've got the time.
I'm still tying to figure out how to vote but I'm digging the idea. I'd be your on line lover!
Good ideas like yours that are not in the Top 100 are nearly impossible to find. This is unfair as many great ideas are hidden. Those of us in the “Sub-100” should work together to promote the best projects of the Sub-100 so that they can be in the Top 100 and be seen. Please vote for best Sub-100s!
I love this idea! check out mine and Pic it if youd like! Congo here I come...
Good one, Amy. I'm voting for you -- please return the favor when you have time and vote for my project on land seizures, political upheaval and daily struggles in Zimbabwe.
You have my vote, If you get the chance, check out my dream "From Australia With Love" and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE vote for it!
Thanks.

Now this idea has come after my age. You have an experience I never had as a young man. For me, we sat and watched the test pattern on the TV until a new station appeared! I vote for you and the new generation! Good luck! I hope you can vote for me, too.
