The modern railroad worker
I would like to publish a book of photographs showing the hard work involved in operating modern North American railroads.
More than any other single technological achievement, the North American west was linked to the world and populated by the advancement of railroads across the continent. Today it is nearly impossible to find a product or industry that is not touched by the movement of freight, either as raw materials or finished goods, along North American railroads.
Railroads, however, don't run themselves. They need an army of people to operate, maintain, dispatch, manage and sell. I would like to work on a book that would show all of the work that is involved every day in all kinds of weather to keep the trains rolling.

Good ideas like yours that are not in the Top 100 are nearly impossible to find. This is unfair as many great ideas are hidden. Those of us in the “Sub-100” should work together to promote the best projects of the Sub-100 so that they can be in the Top 100 and be seen. Please vote for best Sub-100s!
I took my first train ride with the Girl Scouts back in the late 1960's. Then for a belated honeymoon in 1988. I still talk about both trips as though they happen yesterday. Can't wait for it to be published
My cousin works on the railroad, but he is not so hardworking -- just sits at a computer all day. Ha! I'm voting for you -- feel free to return the favor and vote for my project on Zimbabwe.
You have my vote, this is going to sound a bit tasteless, but I am being upfront and honest;
I REALLY NEED YOUR VOTE!!
I am in the bottom 20;
"From Australia With Love"
Will you please PLEASE vote for my idea?
Thanks,
-Adam
